The most distinctive garment at Ormond is perhaps the ‘bumble bee’, a striped jumper in the College colours: red, black and gold.

Most Ormond students own one and they are worn en masse at intercollegiate sporting events like the annual rowing regatta. Originally worn by the college rugby team, the jumpers were adopted for general wear in the 1980s. These days they are joined by a host of other Ormond apparel, from beanies to sweatpants, but none as special as the bumble bee.
